Where has this year gone? We are in the ninth month of 2018, in a few short whirlwind months it will be 2019. That is absolutely crazy and I’m sure I gave everyone anxiety by writing that. Trust me, you’re not the only one. Your anxiety can stem from anything but I bet the majority of you it is because there are so many things that you said you were going to accomplish or finish this year and they are either incomplete or not even started. Those new, sparkling New Years resolutions are old duds now; tucked into a lone corner in your mind, forgotten.
Don’t feel bad; you are not the only one that lets the repetitiveness and normalcy of life to get ahead of personal goals and ventures, and you certainly will not be the last. However it is essential to locate where you are to figure out where you want to go. So what if it’s nine months in and you have not started the book yet? Or that business? It may even be a project that you have been thinking about for years and each year it is pushed to the backburner. I know it’s annoying, I know it hurts, and I know it crushes your ego each time you yet again did not meet your expectations.
But keep trying.
Erase your deadlines, just because it’s nearing the last part of the year doesn’t mean you have to wait until 2019 to see your dreams come true. Start now. Start small. If that means researching, making a logo, or just sit in your room and plot and dream again, do it. Yes it’s September now, but that doesn’t make your dreams obsolete because it’s not the beginning of the year. Begin again and become consistent and watch what you have been hoping for develop and take form.
Have a Wonderful Week!
