Feeling burned out? In a rut? Totally understandable. It could be your body and mind expressing to you that a break is needed. Self-care is the best care; you cannot be the ambitious and beautiful queen that you are without giving to yourself first. Here’s ten things you could do this week to help bring your mind and body back in balance.
Get off of social media for a day, or at least for a few hours.
Get a massage or your nails done, or both!
Go outside. To the park or to your front porch...and don’t look at your phone.
Listen to your favorite album.
Organize your schedule for the next week, you will feel ahead of the game.
Open a bank account and start saving money for a trip next year.
Pick a room and clean it, really clean it.
Read your favorite poetry or section in your favorite book.
Write out positive affirmations about yourself and commit to reading them for the next week.
Of course there are so many other things you can do as well to improve your self-care, but the most important part is to start somewhere. You and your health are essential; you only get one you, so take care yourself as best as you can.
