What is the Wonder Woman Pose? You may have heard of it from the popular Ted Talk by Anna Cuddy, a Harvard sociologist. The Wonder Woman pose encompasses you standing up straight, hands on hips and just imagining yourself as the tall curvy Amazon superhero.
Now this might sound silly but there has been studies that doing the Wonder Woman pose helps with confidence and self-esteem. It is all about filling and staking claim to the space that you take up. To make your presence more commanding and just looking like the girl boss that you are.
When I first read about the pose I was skeptical; but was intrigued enough to try it out for a week and just see what happens. I am a friendly person but also shy and introverted; would the Wonder Woman pose work for me? So I did it for a week...
...and it worked!
I'm not pulling your leg, when I started doing the pose at work for about 30 seconds I did start to feel more confidence afterwards. You just feel like you can take on the world, or at least your daily tasks for the day. So I encourage you queens to try it out and see how it works!
