My least favorite holiday is upon us again. You can call me a Scrooge; or that I have no taste in humor but I hate April Fools’ Day. I hate pranks and I especially hate being pranked on. I am extremely gullible and fall for every trick, and I know this so I am extremely cautious and on guard all day. And that crap is exhausting. I just don’t like the feeling of taken advantage of and on a deeper level it makes me feel worthless or unimportant.
And you may feel the same way. Or even yet, this is not a feeling that you feel only on one day but on a consistent basis. You feel unheard, overlooked or unwanted; you feel like the biggest fool around. If this sounds familiar to you, I know exactly how you feel but I want you to know that you are NOT a fool. You are not a fool for having the dreams and aspirations that you have, and you are not crazy for thinking or acting differently from other people. There is a reason why you are in the place you are now with the goals that you have and you are not a fool for thinking that way.
So in this week if there is something new that makes you feel uncomfortable or someone that makes you feel less than remember that you have the power and should not let anything or anyone have authority over your self-worth!
